Operating temperature is one of the most important features in the design and manufacture of valves. The following materials and suitable valve temperatures are available for your reference:
1）Low temperature service.
*Temperature -29 ° C ≥ T ≥ -100 ° C.
*The main materials should be austenitic stainless steel, ferritic stainless steel, martensitic stainless steel.
*The following materials can be used to produce cryogenic valves:
ASTM A351 CF8M, ASTM A351 CF3M, ASTM A351 CF8, ASTM A351 CF3, ASTM A182 F316, ASTM A182 F316L, ASTM A182 F304, ASTM A182 F304L, ASTM A352 LCA, ASTM A352 LCB, ASTM A352 LCC, ASTM A352 LC1.
Lever Butterfly Valve's main material is carbon steel, material grade ASTM A216 WCB, ASTM A216 WCC, forged carbon steel ASTM A105. The operating temperature range is -29 ° C to 425 ° C. However, considering the safety factor, the temperature of carbon steel is generally not higher than 400 °C.
3）High temperature service.
The main material is Cr-Mo cast high temperature steel.
ASTM A217 WC6, ASTM A217 WC9, ASTM A182 F11, ASTM A182 F22, suitable for industrial water, steam, gas, not suitable for sulfur-containing oils.
Applicable temperatures for ASTM A217 WC6 and ASTM A182 F11: -29 ° C to 540 ° C;
Applicable temperatures for ASTM A217 WC9 and ASTM A182 F22: -29 ° C to 570 ° C.
